Introduction

If you want to further your skills and offer your customers additional services then sit our software course.  All of the skills you can learn on this course can be offered to your customers so that you can earn money.   There is no fluff on our courses, everything you learn is designed to be used on a daily basis, real world practical skills.

All of the skills you can learn on this course can also be applied to a PC, they are not restricted to a laptop.

Course Prerequisites 

Unlike our hardware course which does not require you to have previous experience, our software course asks only that you are a confident user of the Windows operating system.  For example, you can easily create files and folders, can perhaps install Microsoft updates, can install some software (although not essential).  You may also be able to change your desktop wallpaper or confidently navigate through your ‘C drive’ or ‘System drive’.

In short, you may struggle if you have never used a computer before so we ask that you consider this before attending our software course.  If you are unsure please just get in touch with us and ask.

What you will learn:

  • install / re-install Windows XP and Windows 7 Operating Systems
  • virus and malware removal (to an advanced level)
  • install and troubleshoot application problems
  • computer optimisation / speed a customers computer up

How long is this course?

This course completion takes about 15 days .

Can I really learn these skills in just a few days?

The simple answer is yes.  We can teach you in a structured way that will introduce each aspect of the course to you in a manner that makes sense to you.  You will then be given the opportunity to see how a technician tackles these issues and more importantly why.  In other words what a technician does in order to pin point, identify and choose the best solution to a problem.  All it takes is a little knowledge of the underlying system to think your way around a problem.  We can teach you these skills.

Don’t I need to have a Microsoft qualification or have in depth IT knowledge?

It’s understandable to think this way and we would certainly recommend you try to take your understanding further but the skills we can teach you are based around more than 15 years in the field.  What experience has taught us is that there is a set pattern you can apply when approaching certain issues.  It just so happens that these issues are also the most common issues faced by one of your customers and are also the most common services offered by other computer support businesses.
